The Plan: The City of Raleigh, Wake County, the Triangle United Way, and the Wake County Continuum of Care (WCCOC) have partnered to develop a 10-Year Action Plan to End and Prevent Homelessness. This collaboration includes the work of hundreds of private individuals, local government, the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, local businesses, government and non-profit agencies. The Education/Employment Action Team is one of several groups working on specific strategies in support of this plan. . (See the plan website for more details.)

  1. Childcare
  2. Public transportation
  3. Legal services
The Program: Let’s Get to Work is a program (based on the existing Warmth for Wake model) whereby contributors can provide money to a fund that will be used to help people obtain child care vouchers, transportation assistance and legal services necessary to become employed, get to work and/or keep their jobs.
